Our story
The name Forn and Flour blends two languages and two worlds: “Forn”, meaning oven in Catalan, and flour, the foundation of every good bake. Together, they reflect a bakery rooted in heritage, care, and a love for honest, handcrafted baking.
The inspiration began in Sant Llorenç Savall, a small town in Spain, where I spent childhood holidays with my grandparents. Each morning, my grandmother would tuck a few coins into my pocket and send me to the local obrador — a traditional bakery — to buy bread for breakfast. I still remember stepping into that little shop — the warmth, the light, the smell of fresh bakes — and how magical it felt.
Years later, as a pastry chef with my grandma’s 50-year-old recipe book in hand, I found myself wanting to share some of those flavours — baking for my British friends made me discover the joy that comes from sharing something made with love.
Forn and Flour is about honouring tradition while embracing the beauty of where I am now — a bakery shaped by Spanish roots and Norfolk's fantastic local produce.
Thank you for being here — I can’t wait to share these bakes with you.
